Nestled deep within the Fiord, concealed by towering mountains and icebergs, lies the town of Kapisillit.
The people who reside here combine elements of the old and the new.
The primary source of the daily bread is still fishing.
The sole location in Greenland known to have a salmon spawning population is called Kapisillit, which translates as “the place with salmons.”
When cod and halibut were fished in Kapisillit throughout the summer, up to 1,000 people would be there.
The population of the village is currently about fifty.
Let your curiosity run wild as you explore the quaint village at your own speed.
