About Us - Rooted in the Greenlandic Community

Arctic Excursions is a digital sales platform that makes it easy for you to choose from a wide selection of different kinds of experiences throughout Greenland. We have room for a wide range of tour operators – both the larger, well-established operators who already have a significant online presence, and the not so established operators who may only offer tours in certain seasons and have not advertised online until now.

At Arctic Excursions we are rooted in the local communities. We work directly with the tour operators and ensure that their wide range of experiences are all presented on the platform, so that tourism can benefit all of Greenland. We embrace full transparency, which is why you can always see which tour operator offers which tours and read more about the individual provider.

Arctic Excursions is part of the travel giant Greenland Travel, and it is they who define the minimum requirements for the experiences offered on the platform. High standard, service, and safety on the excursions are an essential requirement for the tour operators. Therefore, as a tourist, you can always feel safe when booking an excursion or experience.

We are experts in Greenland and know the country well. Every town and village. Every mountain peak and fjord. Our attention to detail and understanding of this very special travel destination makes us your best travel partner. We know the culture inside and out and we care about the community and support social programs.

One of the goals that we are actively working towards is to be able to offer fantastic experiences in all cities and villages. This way, we can offer as many diverse experiences as possible for visitors and at the same time support tourism throughout Greenland, which is our ultimate mission.

We are a member of Danmarks Rejsebureau Forening (Association of Danish Travel Agents and Tour Operators).

To become a member of the Association of Danish Travel Agents and Tour Operators, we must meet several criteria for professional skills and finances. Therefore, it is a seal of quality to know that your travel agency is a member of the association. As a member, we have, among other things, taken out statutory extended liability insurance, which ensures that you as a consumer will receive a compensation sum if you have suffered an injury for which the organizer/agency is responsible. Membership of the Association of Danish Travel Agents and Tour Operators also means that we are obliged to comply with orders from the Complaints Board for Package Travel in Denmark if we have not been able to agree with you on a complaint. We naturally endeavor to ensure that this does not happen.

Arctic Excursions has its feet firmly planted in a “travel family”. We are a part of Greenland Travel, which has more than 35 years of experience selling trips to and in Greenland. Greenland Travel offers a large selection of unique package tours and tailor-made trips to meet customers’ needs and wishes. The travel agency also offers group travel, conferences and business trips. Greenland Travel has offices in Copenhagen, Sisimiut, Ilulissat and Nuuk.

Arctic Excursions was created based on a wish to offer even more opportunities for people to experience Greenland and to lift and develop the Greenlandic tourism industry to even greater heights.

Besides being part of Greenland Travel, Arctic Excursions is also part of a larger group – Air Greenland Group. In addition to Arctic Excursions and Greenland Travel we have Air Greenland, Hotel Arctic in Ilulissat and World of Greenland.
