This tour allows you to explore the main sights and learn about life in one of Greenland’s small settlements.
The first stop is the village school, where you’ll get an insight into how education takes place in a small Greenlandic settlement. The guide will talk about the school’s role in society and the challenges and joys that come with it.
The next stop is the small church, which is a central gathering point for the village. Here the guide will share stories about the importance of the church and the different ceremonies that take place.
The tour continues to the fish factory, where you’ll get an insight into the main occupation of the settlement. The guide will explain how fishing is done and the importance it has for the local community.
Along the way, you will pass several historic houses where the guide will talk about their significance and the people who have lived there over the years.
