Take in Greenland's untamed beauty while riding this special snowmobile and dogsled combo.
We begin at the location where we will meet in Ilulissat. Put safety belts and helmets on our snowmobiles.
Ride a snowmobile (17 km/~30 min)
We travel through harsh mountains and unspoiled Greenlandic scenery before arriving at our cozy red cabin in the middle of nowhere, where our thirty-one dogs spend the winter.
Dogsled Ride (~1 hour, 11–12 km)
Use the dogsled instead of the snowmobile. Glide across mountains, icy lakes, and picturesque paths with Jørgen, co-owner and five-time Greenlandic Dogsled Champion. Our observations suggest that an hour is more than plenty for visitors; longer sled rides may be uncomfortable.
We pause at our favorite spot to see the Greenland Ice Sheet, glaciers, and Icefjord. Take pictures, give the dogs hugs, and listen to exciting Greenlandic tales.
Up to eight people can be carried at once by our two sleds and two dog teams. Please get in touch with us personally for larger groups or different dates; we are adaptable and collaborate with several skilled mushers.
After spending some time at the lookout, we head back to our cabin to warm up with snacks and drinks before returning to Ilulissat on the snowmobile.
