Snowmobile to the Fishing Spot in the Ice Fjord

On this snowmobile tour we enter the Unesco area about 30 km into the Isfjord to Aatartoq.

We drive through the snow-covered landscape along a groomed route and along the way we can see dog sleds, get some good views out into the Icefjord and views of the northern glacier inside Ilulissat Icefjord.

Depending on the number of people on the tour, you can drive your own snowmobile or as a passenger. There will be a short introduction to the operation of the vehicle and how to drive it in the terrain.

The tour lasts approximately three hours and we follow the fjord to the fishing huts, from where the dogsled is driven over sea ice to the fishing spots.

We will follow the special corridor set aside for snowmobiling in the Unesco nature park and reach the fishing huts within an hour.

Here we will take a break and have the opportunity to have a hot drink, walk on the sea ice and climb smaller icebergs.

Duration: 3 hours

Participants: Please note that the excursion will only take place if a minimum of 2 tickets are booked in total. For example, if you book 1 tickets, at least 1 additional tickets must be sold to other customers for the trip to proceed. A maximum of 3 people will participate.

Language: The guide speaks English, Danish, and Greenlandic

Type of Tour: At the meeting location, the decision is made who will drive the snowmobile and who will be passenger.

Catering: Coffee and tea served

Recommended Clothing: Warm clothes incl. hat and gloves. Helmet and warm suit is included.
