For those who want to get out into the Greenlandic nature, with glacier views, wildlife and ice - an adventure worth trying!
This tour is for those who would like to spend several days hiking in the heart of the Greenlandic wilderness. Maybe we will spot a few reindeer, but other than that, it’s just the magnificent Greenlandic environment and us.
Our journey will culminate in the charming and cozy surroundings of Camp Kangiusaq, where we will have the opportunity to try our hand at fishing, kayaking, or paddleboarding amid icebergs. We will camp with views of glaciers and the Icefjord, and collect water in streams and rivers along the way. You can also decide to stay longer at the camp.
Both at Camp Kangiusaq and throughout the trip, all meals are provided.
Day 1: Provides us a somewhat simple beginning. We travel from Kapisillit to the Icefjord by a picturesque boat ride from Nuuk. Our route stays mostly level as we follow the Icefjord to our first campsite beside a sizable lake. On a clear day, we can see the deepest glacier in the Nuuk Fjord.
Day 2: Transports us to a higher altitude of roughly 600 meters, where we arrive at a scene reminiscent of a mountaintop, complete with lakes and small hills that offer multiple vantage points over the Icefjord. With a view of the Narsap Sermia glacier, we set up camp near “Butterfly Lake”.
Day 3: is the shortest day, with a downhill trail to Camp Kangiusaq, where we may try fishing, kayaking, or paddleboarding, sleep in comfortable tents with appropriate beds, and eat cuisine made by camp personnel. After our hike, we can simply relax in camp.
Day 4: Before returning to Nuuk by car at midday, we can spend our morning in the lovely surroundings of the camp. You have the option to remain longer at the camp.
