On this trip you will experience a good boat ride far into the fjord where the abandoned settlement of Qoornoq is located.
Qoornoq is called “Bear Island” as the island looks like a bear from the air.
The abandoned settlement now serves as a summer settlement for the locals from Nuuk. Many families in Greenland have summer houses which they use for hunting and fun with family.
When we arrive in Qoornoq, we get off the boat and you are free to explore the area.
Enjoy the view and experience the silence on your own.
On the way back we sail past the waterfall which is located on the backside of Sermitsiaq.
There is a toilet on board.
