More in-depth description:
The goal of this journey is to learn the actual meaning of wildness and discovery. This implies that a portion of the voyage is conducted in a new location each year, which is also new to us.
We will visit three different areas over the course of eleven days, taking in the glaciers, mountains, and icebergs that are the highlights of East Greenland.
We take pride in offering the most difficult trip, which is this one. We chose to have a relatively restricted number of participants because we want to truly experience the wilderness—climbing unnamed peaks and traversing glaciers on both snow- and ice-covered terrain. This adds to the uniqueness of the entire experience.
The mode of transportation
Since it’s a mountaineering trip, the objectives include exploring the alpine environment, trying ice climbing, being roped up when traveling across glaciers, reaching at least one peak along the route, and camping on glaciers or with views of glaciers.
There is a minimum of three visitors and a maximum of four; all of the food and equipment we offer are to be shared by each tent member, fostering a sense of teamwork and shared duties. When exploring Greenland’s remote alpine regions, this is the route we should take—in the renowned “alpine style,” as light and comfortable as we can.
You may anticipate spending six hours a day exercising, with a 10-kilometer hike each day.
Conditions:
This is for you if you’ve gone on multiday treks, camping trips, are physically fit enough to carry a 12-kg backpack for at least four days straight, and are seeking genuine adventure!
