Day 1
This day is primarily about arriving at the camp, settling in, and getting a feel for everything, but it also involves making the first turns on the way there.
The first step in the process is a boat ride from Nuuk to the camp, which is located about 45 minutes away in a fiord. We make a pit stop at the first skiing area on the way in.
By afternoon, a boat will pick up the group and take them to a nearby camp.
In pairs, you will set up your tents here and receive an orientation to the area and the camp’s procedures.
Dinner on the rocks, followed by a night of bonfires.
Day 2
In the background of our camp, the first day of actual touring.
The 1120-meter summit southwest of the camp is the primary objective for today. As we ascend higher on this mountain, we will get a better view of the fiord system and a better idea of what to expect over the next few days.
A team will sail out in the bay on SUPs equipped with fishing lines when we get back to the camp to determine what will be for dinner.
If you’re feeling fresh, you can swim in the ocean and relax in the sauna for a while before dinner.
Even more mingling around the bonfire.
Day 3
Day two of the Itisoq region tour.
We’ll decide as a group where to go after what happened yesterday.
There are many choices. The more eastern face of the previous day’s skiing is the primary goal. The run was long and smooth, with less altitude and angle.
When touring, pay attention to the environment. There are ptarmigan, foxes, and hares nearby.
There will be a local dinner prepared at camp; don’t worry, it won’t be overly local.
You already know what happens in the evening: bonfire!
Day 4
We will leave for our third day of skiing in our base camp’s backyard after breakfast. There will be some ascents and descents throughout this longer day.
Northwest of the camp is the main object. a region that hasn’t been skied much because it demands a little more work.
The option to explore the area is always there. Or have fun playing on the slackline. enjoy the silence at least.
Once more, the sauna is a possibility, especially following a day like this.
Additionally, why not relight the bonfire and add some s’mores.
Day 5
Finished skiing in our backyard today. Today we are traveling north. Our view of the fiord system is also slightly altered by a brief zigzag traverse.
You’ll help with the cooking when you get back to the camp. gutting fish and maintaining the bonfire
We’ll make the most of the camp’s final night by playing various games and having little competitions, as well as by lighting the bonfire one last time.
Day 6
After a hearty breakfast, we will pack up, say goodbye to the charming camp, and travel to the final skiing area.
Together, we will choose this location based on our past skiing experiences, as good skiing requires favorable conditions. But a large, gentle couloir is the main goal. From camp, it takes 30 minutes to sail
On this day, we will return to town, hopefully richer in experience and brimming with fascinating new tales to share with family and friends back home.
