Arctic Ride – Snowmobile

There are great landscapes to be discovered in the backcountry of Ilulissat. Our modern snowmobiles and local guides are a great way to explore snowy mountains and valleys, frozen fjords, lakes, and the sea ice.

The route will be chosen by our guide depending on ice, snow, and weather conditions. You could be be visiting the authentic settlement of Oqaatsut located 20 km north of Ilulissat. 25 Inuit live here all year round.

Duration: 3 hours

Another option is a route that has an unbeatable scenery. We will go up the mountains to see dogsleds on their way to ice-fish in the Icefiord. We will also go to a series of viewpoints with an amazing view over Ilulissat, Disko Bay, and the Ice Cap. In both routes we will stop to have some hot drinks and biscuits.

Beginners are very welcome. No previous experience is required. Our guide will provide all the equipment and teach you how to drive the snowmobile.

Please note that due to unpredictable snow and weather conditions during winter, the itinerary of this tour is subject to change. It is our goal to deliver the best tour experience possible, however the safety of our clients is always our first priority.
