Join this boat transport to the abandoned settlement, Assaqutaq, and go on a beautiful hike on your own back to Sisimiut.

Do you have the courage for an adventure in the harsh Greenlandic nature on your own? Then this tour is perfect for you.
The boat trip itself is about 30 minutes from Sisimiut to the abandoned settlement of Assaqutaq. You will have all the time you want to explore the old abandened buildings before you cross the suspension bridge to the start of the hike. The first part of the route is very steep, but there is a rope to help. The hike is relatively well marked all the way and is an incredibly beautiful trip with the tall mountains on one side and the fjord on the other. The terrain changes a lot throughout the hike and can be challenging at times. The hike takes about 6-8 hours and we always recommend that you take atleast 2 people with you and a packed lunch.
