The water in Uunartoq is known to be a lovely 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit) all year round. The Inuit name for the hot springs is Uunartoq, which means “the hot place” in English.
The pools are located on an island not far from the village of Alluitsup Paa, which is about 65 km south of Qaqortoq.
Although there is a public cottage where you can change, we recommend you bring warm clothes as it can get chilly when you leave the pool.
Enjoy relaxing in the hot springs while icebergs pass by in the neighboring fjord, which is surrounded by high mountains.
Every time we travel by boat, which takes about two hours, huge icebergs are often seen.
Keep your eyes open, because there are countless opportunities to observe whales along the way.
Duration: 5 hours
Minimum: 4 people
Maximum: 7 people
