Go ahead and book your next adventure right now. We promise you — it will be one to remember!
At 9.30 am, we begin the legendary day by the peer of Kulusuk or Tasiilaq, depending on where you are staying. We start sailing with our genuine motor boat, which was given to us by our reliable local hunter from Kulusuk, Lars Bianco, after giving you a chart of the day’s itinerary.
The journey to reach the Apusiaii glacier can take anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes, depending on where we begin (20 minutes from Kulusuk). Numerous icebergs that have drifted from distant glaciers, carried by storms and currents up to 200 kilometers further north, will be visible to us along the route. To guarantee the best photos and memories of these floating giants, we will take our time and cruise around a few of them carefully.
We will be treated to a breathtaking glimpse of the 20–30 meter high wall of ice that calves on the water in a 500-meter semicircle theater once we get to the glacier front.
After a quick safety lesson, we will safely dock the boat close by, and our guide will provide you some equipment to explore the glacier.
The glacier walk with harness, helmet, crampons, and ice axe is quite easy, but we’ll make it enjoyable by showing you around a more interesting portion of the glacier with a cool crevasse formation, where you may learn and practice ice climbing with amazing views, if you’d like!
Following this thrilling journey, we’ll proceed to one of the most exciting parts of this amazing day: exploring the one and only ice cave found in all of Greenland!
Being the first business to find this amazing hidden gem and be able to show you this enchanted location makes us extremely proud.
Included:
8-hour guided tour, boat, equipment for the glaciers, dog food, a taste of Greenlandic cuisine, and a unique, traditional gift for every visitor!
