Hiking to the top of Nasaasaaq

Our journey begins with a drive to the dogs town, from where we commence our hike on an easy trail. As we progress, encountering a steeper section, we eventually reach a plateau that serves as a direct path to the summit pyramid. Accessing the narrow peak entails traversing a steep ridge, secured by ropes in two vertical sections. Once atop the 784-meter summit, you’ll be treated to an awe-inspiring 360-degree panoramic vista, encompassing Sisimiut, Palasip Qaqqaa, the western ocean, and the expansive wilderness of the Qeqqata Kommunia, adorned with lakes, valleys, glaciers, and mountains to the north and east.

This hike is categorized as medium-hard, requiring a good level of fitness and confidence in navigating steep terrain.

Duration: 5-6 hours

Please note: Participating in this tour requires a good level of fitness. You must bring your own water and remember to dress accordingly to the weather.

Please note that the excursion will only take place if a minimum of 3 tickets are booked in total. For example, if you book 2 tickets, at least 1 additional ticket must be sold to other customers for the trip to proceed. A maximum of 6 people will participate. You will be notifed at least 24 hours before the time of departure if too few tickets have been booked.
