Try fishing like the locals do
Fishing is the main occupation of Ilulissat, focused around the delicate halibut. But the area holds much more than halibut. The Disco Bay is known for pristine fish and seafood – and we will try our luck for both cod fish, wolf fish & redfish.
To ensure an authentic experience, we will sail in an open boat. We use different fishing methods such as traditional jig & ‘snelle’. It will vary from day to day, what we may catch. You can keep your catch.
What you get
The Fishing Tour will take around 2 hours & 30 minutes.
With Greenland Sea Safari you’re guaranteed a personal and unique small group experience onboard our 7 passenger-boat, close to the water and the ice.
What to bring
Remember warm clothes, gloves and a hat – It’s cold on the Icefjord even in the summer.
You are more than welcome to bring your own food or drinks for the tour – we’ll pick up glacial ice if needed!
