Location: Qasigiannguit
This tour includes a 2-day dog sledding adventure and a night in a hut in the bush near the Tasiusaq fjord. Furthermore, you will experience a true arctic winter north of the Arctic Circle, hopefully with the northern lights dancing over the barren terrain.
We load the sled with our belongings and food for dogs and humans, then head into Qasigiannguit’s backwoods. Now, we travel by dog sled for 35 kilometers on land and ice lakes to the Tasiusaq cabin, where we will spend the night.
You can keep warm by sipping a hot beverage in the Arctic darkness while admiring the snow-covered mountains, hoping for a clear sky above to see the northern lights dancing.
On day two, after breakfast, we dress for another day outside and begin the 35-kilometer trip back to Qasigiannguit.
Please note
– 1-2 people pr. dog sled
– Sealskin clothing, warm boots, sleeping equipment, and food are included. The food will be either reindeer, muskox, or fish, all locally caught.
