A unique boat trip that offers an unforgettable experince on the magnificent nature and culture heritage of the area, where there will be a guided hike on the Nipisat Island.

The tour focuses on exploring part of the remarkable UNESCO area Aasivissuit – Nipisat. The area is from the ice sheet to the coast south of Sisimiut and has been used as a hunting area for thousands of years. Hunting of reindeer inland and hunting of marine animals on the coast. On the tour, we will be sailing among the islands and walk ashore on the island of Nipisat, which has a rich cultural history of several Inuit immigrations but also more recent history of the Dutch and Danish/Norwegian whalers. There will be a guided hike on the island which also offers a large part of the Greenlandic flora that exists on this area. After the hike we sail back to Sisimiut, where the food brought along is enjoyed and a lookout is kept for sea animals.
