One of the most powerful symbols of Greenland is the dog sled, an Inuit custom that dates back 2,000 years.
Few forms of transportation have lasted this long, but the basic idea is still the same as it was before the Viking Age.
A simple wooden sled was used with some dogs attached in harnesses.
The complete silence is broken by the meads’ whistle against the compressed snow and the snapping lashings as the sled turns with the terrain. The experience must be had to fully understand it.
Conditions on the day will determine the exact path.
The weather varies from day to day and season to season. At times the snow will be deeper, while at other times the terrain will be more icy and rocky.
The mouser may not always speak English or Danish well, but we communicate with hand gestures and positive energy.
We recommend warm clothes!
Duration: 2 hours
Included: Coffee & tea
