Experience a camping trip out to the Russell Glacier!
One of the few locations in Greenland where a minivan, a Toyota Landcuiser, can navigate the challenging terrain is Kangerlussuaq.
You will, however, spend the night sleeping on the towering ice wall, which acts as a barrier between the land and the ice.
Depending on the path, it will take us a few hundred meters or 1.5 kilometers to get there, where we will pitch up camp while listening to the glacier calving and the river rushing by. And, barring special arrangements, where I shall depart for the next day.
Keep a safe distance from the ice colossi and the meltwater river, both of which have the potential to collapse suddenly. It’s crucial to continuously keep this in mind.
